Located in the heart of Hakuba’s Happo Onsen area, Yamabuki Shokudo is a welcoming Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy a relaxed meal after hiking or while exploring the area.

We value the rich ingredients of Nagano and the traditional food culture of Japan, creating seasonal dishes that bring out the natural flavors of each ingredient.

One of our signature ingredients is Yamabuki Miso, made by a traditional Shinshu miso brewery founded in 1674. Carefully aged in the cold climate of Shinshu using pure water from the Mount Asama area, this miso has a rich and distinctive flavor.

At Yamabuki Shokudo, we combine this traditional miso with locally sourced ingredients from Nagano to create comforting Japanese dishes that can be enjoyed every day.
