Vinay Murthy
Vinay Murthy is a Tokyo-based comedian, actor, and co-founder of Tokyo Comedy Bar, Japan’s premier English-language stand-up venue. A series regular on the #1 NHK World’s Home Sweet Tokyo, Vinay performs in both English and Japanese, blending larger-than-life act-outs with razor-sharp insights into modern life and the lighter side of Japan. Originally from Japan, Ryo Hayashi began his comedy career in New York City, performing regularly at the renowned New York Comedy Club. His sharp wit and unique perspective quickly gained him recognition in the city’s competitive stand-up scene.
Now back in Japan, Ryo performs in both English and Japanese, bringing laughter to audiences across cultures. He has earned top honors, winning the Tokyo International Comedy Festival Grand Prix (Japanese division) and becoming a finalist in the festival’s English competition.
Ryo’s career skyrocketed last year when he became a cast member on Netflix’s #1 show Love Village, capturing the hearts of viewers worldwide. As a divorced dad, he brings a hilarious and relatable take on life, love, dating, and divorce—along with all the chaos in between.
From the comedy clubs of New York to the bright lights of Tokyo, Ryo Hayashi continues to entertain with his sharp humor and unapologetic storytelling.
Amarie Castillo—also known as Part Time Bro—is a stand-up comedian, radio personality, and keynote speaker who blends her love of sports with sharp, high-energy comedy. With over 15 years in the industry, she has shared the stage with top comedians, including Rachel Feinstein and Louis C.K., and was named a Breakout Artist at Caroline’s on Broadway in 2019.
A regular performer at Tokyo Comedy Bar, Amarie has also been featured on The Bernie and Sid Show, NPR’s Only a Game, and as an opening act for Ronnie’s Block Party on Howard TV. Offstage, she has covered major sporting events like the NFL Draft and Super Bowl for Cumulus Media. Whether behind the mic or on stage, Amarie brings a unique mix of sports-savvy humor and bold storytelling that keeps audiences coming back for more.
