Hot Air Balloon Tour

Enjoy the majesty of the Japanese Alps set against the glow of the rising morning sun. A hot air balloon tour is perfect for the whole family and is the best way to take in Hakuba’s most spectacular views. This tour is dog friendly.

Tours run every Sunday (and public holidays) from April 29 to October 31 and daily from July 22 to August 29. 
Tours are dog friendly and must be booked at least 1 day in advance.

Meeting Place: Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium car park #6 – 10 mins before reservation time

Pricing:

• Adult  (13 years old and over) ¥2,500
• Child  (3 to 12 years old) ¥1,700
• Infant (2 years old and younger) Free
• Dog ¥500 ~ * Up to 1 infant OR dog per adult*

Attendance: A minimum of 12 participants are needed for tours to operate but there is no minimum number of people per reservation. There may be multiple reservations per tour.

Requirements:

• Everyone is welcome!
• Children over 12 years of age may attend without adult supervision
• Children 12 years of age and younger must have adult supervision
• All infants and pets must be accompanied by a capable adult

Clothing

• Please wear warm, comfortable clothing that can also get a little dirty. Please do not wear high-heeled shoes for your own safety.
• The mornings can be cold, so we recommend bringing a jacket/hoodie.
• Cinders and soot may fall from the burner onto clothing.

Other

• Tours will not take place if there are bad weather conditions on the day
• This also includes if the weather worsens mid-flight
• Infants and pets MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times
• Customers riding with their dogs may need to wait longer than the scheduled reservation time
• Reservations for the hot-air balloon ride can be made up to 5:00pm on the day before the scheduled tour date. Reservations made after 5:00pm and same-day reservations cannot be accepted
• The designated tour time is the time of the flight. Please arrive at the meeting location and be ready at least 10 mins before the scheduled time.
