Wing 21 is Hakuba’s massive, public multi-purpose community sports and cultural complex. Its unique, striking roofline is designed to resemble a bird spreading its wings into the 21st century. While it hosts everything from basketball tournaments to cultural theater events, it also houses a fully functional public fitness facility.

The Training Facilities

If you’re looking to keep up your strength routine or get some cardio in when the weather turns, Wing 21 has you covered with a surprisingly solid setup:

The Weight Room: Equipped with a Smith machine, free weights, dumbbells, an incline press, leg press, leg extensions, leg curls, and a cable lat pulldown machine.
Cardio & Extras: Features stationary exercise bikes and dedicated stretching mats.
Indoor Running Track: Circling high above the main sports arena is an elevated, 180-meter indoor running track—perfect for getting your miles in during heavy winter blizzards or rainy summer afternoons.

The Price

Standard General Admission: Only 1,000 yen per entry (gives you full access to both the training room and the running track).
Running Track Only: Just 400 yen if you only want to use the indoor loop.
Local’s Tip: If you have a registered local address in Hakuba, showing your ID drops the price even lower (700 yen for the gym / 200 yen for the track).
