After undergoing a complete renovation in 2026, The Wadano is a contemporary mountain hotel nestled in the forested Wadano area of Hakuba, offering convenient ski-in access from Happo-One’s Sakka slopes. Designed for active travelers, the hotel combines comfortable Western-style accommodation with warm Japanese hospitality, casual dining, and family-friendly facilities.

Facilities

The Wadano features an outdoor onsen, casual Japanese izakaya and bar. A children’s playroom and karaoke room will also be available, exclusive to hotel guests. Concierge is available at the front desk daily for inquiries regarding shuttles, restaurant reservations, and local recommendations.

  • Superior Room

    Perfect for couples or solo travelers, the Superior Room features a plush king bed (can be configured as twin beds upon request) 55-inch smart TV, mini fridge, and signature bathroom amenities.

  • Deluxe Room

    With room for 3 guests, the Deluxe Room features either a king or twin beds, a window sofa, and private bathroom. For an additional fee, the sofa can be converted to a third bed for an additional traveler (surcharge applies).

  • Family Room

    Designed with larger groups and longer stays in mind, the Family Rooms provide generous living space and expanded en-suites featuring 2 vanities and soaking bathtub. Rooms feature either a king or 2 twin beds and two separate sofas which can be converted to third and fourth beds.
