Hakuba’s Most Popular Hike

The hike to Happo Pond is a beautiful and family friendly hike on Hakuba’s largest and most popular resort, Happo One. Most hikers choose to ride the gondola and then the Alpen and Grat quad chair lifts and then start the hike from there. From the Grat quad chair lifts the hike takes between 45-90 minutes and does not require any hiking experience or technical equipment.

The round trip price to ride the Gondola and lifts is ¥3,000 for Adults and ¥1,800 for kids. You can also drive your car 30 minutes (9k) up the mountain and park in the free Kurobishi parking lot. From here you can take two lifts and then begin your hike (¥1,680 for adults and ¥1,010 for kids).
